Pupils at Crackley Hall School spent the week raising money for the charity Hope for Children, a non profit making organisation that aims to improve the lives of under privileged children around the world. Two mums of pupils at the school, Catherine Warne and Emma Litterick, will be running both the London and Edinburgh marathons this spring in an effort to raise over £1000 for the charity. Children in Year 1 organised an Easter Bunny guess the number of sweets in the jar competition and  Year 4 pupils organised a successful cake sale. A total of over £80.00 was raised.

Emma Litterick added, ‘We delivered an assembly to the pupils at Crackley Hall raising awareness of the plight of orphaned children in other countries. From there they took the initiative and raised the money. We are planning a whole school marathon run later next term which looks to be very exciting. The children are right behind our marathon effort.’
