Crackley Hall Pupils’ Fundraising Day Raises Just Over £1,000

Monday 3 July was a fantastic day of fundraising by the pupils at Crackley Hall. Organised by the student council it was a chance for the children to use their initiative, do some good, be creative, raise some money and along the way learn a little about the work their chosen charities undertake.

Children from Junior 1 through to Junior 6 were invited to run stalls, activities and events for their fellow pupils to take part in. On offer were creative crafts, tombolas, pick and mix stalls, challenges and fun competitions such as beat the goalie. As an extra fundraiser the children were all allowed to swap their school uniform for home clothes in exchange for a further £1 donation.

Our charity minded children had a fun filled morning and managed to raise just over a whopping £1,000. Their fabulous funds will be split between the three charities the children have chosen to support this year: Myton Hospice, Zoe’s Place and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Miss Emma Anderton, Junior 3 Teacher at Crackley and Head of Student Council, was delighted, “The initiative and enthusiasm the children displayed today was amazing. The morning worked so well, we will definitely do it again. I have spoken to the charities and they are delighted with our donations, Birmingham Children’s Hospital have even invited the student council for a visit. I would particularly like to thank all the parents whose support of their children was instrumental in making the day a success.”
