Key Stage 2 Sports Day A Super Smashing Record Breaking Success
At the end of the day barely a record still stood, race after race, event after event our outstanding Crackley sportsmen and women dashed, leapt and threw, surpassing all to make this year’s Sports Day a super, smashing, record breaking success.
But at Crackley Hall Sports Day isn’t just about the competition, it is all about the participation. Every child ran in a sprint and every child took part in an individual event and, most importantly, every child had fun. As is always the case the children’s behaviour was impeccable, they offered support and encouragement to each other and congratulated and commiserated with good heart.
For the first time this year we made a full day of it over on the sports field. The children took part in 80m and 150m sprints, a middle distance 600m race, the Long Jump and High Jump, a Throwing Challenge and a Relay Race. Events were hotly contested and the final individual results, including all the new records are available for all to see on the Sports Noticeboard outside the Science Lab.
House results were as follow:
1st Jupiter 277
2nd Saturn 236 points
3rd Venus 219 points
4th Mars 210 points
Finally, a special mention for all the Mums and Dads who took part in the Parents’ races, we were delighted so many of you took part so enthusiastically.
