PTA Fun Day A Fabulous Fundraiser

We had our raincoats at the ready as the dark skies looked troubling but the weather was kind to us, the clouds cleared and there was even some sunshine. All those involved in the annual PTA Fun Day breathed a huge sigh of relief and got down to the serious business of having some family fun.

All the classes took responsibility for a stall and it was lovely to see the children helping out and to witness all their amazing ideas and produce. You name it – we had it - coconut shy, photo booth, human fruit machine, tombola, cake stalls, face painting, inflatables, ice cream, candy floss, football challenge - all the essential elements of a British summer fair spread out across the school grounds.

The entrance ticket included a BBQ and the reputation of our chief burger flipper went before him and queues quickly formed. The catering team did a sterling job with a delicious spread for our 560 attendees.

We were gloriously entertained by our third annual talent show, Crackley’s Got Talent. There had clearly been a lot of rehearsing, what a lot of wonderful acts for the excited spectators to enjoy.

Although the final figures are still to come in it looks like we raised over £4,200, which is a record amount. None of it would have been possible without the great teamwork and efforts of many people in the build-up and on the day. All those members of the PTA and other volunteers who donated their time, to make this such an incredibly entertaining community event. We are also grateful to our local neighbours for their support, including a generous donation from one unable to attend the event.
