Matilda Stage Show Delights Senior Students

18 Jan
All roads led to the Cambridge Theatre, London, last Wednesday 9 January, as Mrs. Olden's amassed ranks of lucky Junior 5 and Junior 6 students took their seats to enjoy a fabulous afternoon of musical theatre. The show was an anarchically joyous, gleefully nasty and ingenious musical adaptation of the much loved story Matilda, produced by writer Dennis Kelly and composer and lyricist Tim Minchin.

Inspired by the book of the same name, by the author Roald Dahl, this multi-award winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company won the hearts and aspirations of all. To be this close to Miss Trunchbull, Matilda Wormwood and Miss Honey (amongst others), to hear and see inspirational renditions of many a well known ditty, including NaughtyWhen I Grow Up and Quiet was a well earned treat and will no-doubt inform pupils in their own musical theatre grade exams and Crackley's end of year show.
