National Youth Orchestra Concert At Warwick University

17 Jan

On Friday 7 January, a group of young musicians and choralists and their parents were given an amazing opportunity to go and see the National Youth Orchestra perform at Warwick University.

The Junior 5 and Junior 6 pupils all take part in Choral and Orchestral activities in school. The Crackley Hall contingent were seated on the first two rows, so they felt as if they were all actually in the performance itself.

Director of Music, Susan Olden, said, "The programme was imaginative and was full of colourful sounds and hopefully inspired the children who were lucky enough to be there.  Some children performing were as young as 15-years-old, and it was great to see them all having such a fantastic time.  Many of them I'm sure will go on to play in professional orchestras but the magic that they exhibited on Friday will stay with us for a long time to come."

Mrs Olden, continued, "Many thanks to Amanda at the Arts Centre for letting us be part of the instrumental programme and giving us the complimentary tickets."
