06 Jun

Three Crackley Hall athletes qualified to take part in this year’s ISA’s National Track and Field Championships after a super successful outing at the regional qualifying event.

Excitingly, the Year 6 Girls and Boys teams both placed first overall helping Crackley Hall’s Girls finish first overall and Crackley Hall’s Boys come in just behind in overall second place.

Crackley Hall took a team of Junior 4, 5 and 6 pupils to Aldersley Sports Village in Wolverhampton on Wednesday this week, one of 35 schools attending the event. Many of the children put in amazing performances with pupils winning an astounding 16 medals. The school was delighted to see so many athletes being placed in both track and field events.

Head of Extended Day, Mrs Kat Vaughan praised the outstanding attitude adopted by the Crackley team, commenting, “It was a long and exciting day. The atmosphere was amazing and our Crackley children really stepped up with team spirit second to none, with every child supporting their peers, regardless of event or year group. The children were outstanding in all aspects, behaviour, determination and resilience and I am exceptionally proud of them all.”

Congratulations go to Isabel A-J (J5) who took two Golds, qualifying for both the 70m and 150m sprint, Grace A (J6) who took Gold in the High Jump, qualifying for the Nationals, and Scarlett M (J6) who took Silver in 600m and also qualified for the Nationals.
