Crackley Claims Victory At ISA Midlands Cricket Tournament

15 May

Crackley Hall's U11 Cricket team were delighted to claim victory in this year's ISA Midlands Hardball Cricket Tournament.

The annual cricket festival took place on Crackley Hall's sports field on Friday 15 May and the school was pleased to welcome teams from across the Midlands.

The schools were split into two groups and played a series of matches to qualify for the afternoon's play-offs. In addition to the main competition, the players participated in a range of fielding, catching, batting and bowling clinics to develop their cricket skills. The quality of play on display was excellent, with clear evidence of each school improving not only their cricketing skills, but also their tactical awareness of the game.

We are especially proud of our Crackley team, who all performed brilliantly, especially against Ranby House School in the final. Having held them to 36 runs, it was all to play for, and the team batted bravely, taking every opportunity to score runs. Well done to Tom, William, Casper, Téo, Harry, Charlotte and Archie. Archie was also recognised as Cricketer of the Tournament by the umpires, with Casper winning the award of longest throw and William the most accurate throw.

Special thanks to all the Crackley Hall and Princethorpe staff and students for their support of the event.
