One World Week

02 Mar

We marked One World Week when we returned from the half-term break, our annual exploration and celebration of the world and its faiths.

As part of the week, each class focused on a different faith, learning more about Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam and Sikhism. The children enjoyed exploring different faiths and cultures, and it was wonderful to see them engaging so well, listening respectfully and developing their understanding.
During the week, Junior 6 visited the Gurdwara in Leamington Spa, Junior 4 went to the Buddhist Peace Pagoda in Birmingham, Junior 3 took part in a virtual exploration of Singers Hill Synagogue in Birmingham, Junior 2 visited St Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in Birmingham, Junior 1 went to St Mary's Church in Warwick and our Reception classes visited our local St Augustine's Church in Kenilworth. Junior 5 have their trip to Birmingham Central Mosque later in March. Many thanks to all who helped facilitate the visits.
