U11 Girls Are ISA Midlands Cricket Champions

21 May

Crackley Hall’s U11 Girls travelled to Malvern on Monday 19 May to take part in the ISA Midlands Cricket Tournament.

The girls started with two group games and some fine batting and bowling delivered two super wins. They faced Wellow House School first, winning by 272 runs to 229 runs, and then overcame Malvern St James by 269 runs to 230 runs.

With the team on excellent form, they sailed through the semi-final against Edenhurst Prep School easily too, winning by 261 runs to 210 runs.

In the final, they faced Malvern St James again, they had also won their semi-final. Another competitive team performance saw the girls confidently win 251 runs to 228 runs and finish as ISA Midlands Champions.

The girls were outstanding all day and there were plenty of highlights to enjoy. Special mention goes to Charlotte (J5) who scored a six off her first ball followed by several fours – she was Crackley’s top batter on the day. Congratulations also to Jessie for taking her first wicket and to Lexi for getting two batters out in the final, one catch immediately followed on the next ball by a tremendous run-out.
