    The Princethorpe Foundation

    Required to start by December 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter, we are looking for a Head of Business Services. This exciting new position is the result of a review of the Foundation’s organisational design, stemming from the appointment of the Foundation Principal and the forthcoming retirement of the Foundation Bursar. The successful candidate will work closely with, and be line-managed by, the Foundation Principal and will be a key member of the Foundation Executive Committee (FEC), which is responsible for the overall successful operations and strategic direction of the Foundation.

    As a member of the FEC the post holder will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in the Foundation’s Business Services which include people management and human resources, business administration, Foundation procurement and contracts, data protection and GDPR, policies and compliance and business assurance.  The successful candidate is unlikely to have significant previous experience across every aspect of this role; what is important is you have a strong commercial background and the skillset and personal qualities we are looking for. It is also important to note that the Foundation retains the services of external professional consultants for legal, HR and IT support which will all be directly available to the new Head of Business Services as required.

    The Business Services Manager will have exceptional personal qualities and abilities, with a wide range of skills and be fully aligned with our ethos. They will need to be meticulous yet creative, a strategic thinker who is prepared to get their hands dirty, fully focused on the demands of a multi-million-pound business and attuned to the nuances of the independent education sector. This is a broad role, and the successful candidate may not have in-depth experience in all areas, however they will a wide range of skills and qualities.

    This is a permanent 40-hour a week role based at Princethorpe College with duties at The Crescent and Crackley Hall Schools. Due to the nature of the job, there will be some work outside of normal working hours.

    The starting salary range is £60,000 - £75,000 per annum by negotiation, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
